Wash Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Before laundering your Gold + Cross Healthcare Blankets, check for any stains or soiling. If there are visible stains, consider pre-treating them with a stain remover or gentle detergent for best results.

  2. Separate Colors: If you are washing the sheets with other items, especially colored ones, make sure to separate the white Golden Mills sheets to prevent color transfer. This helps maintain the pristine white color.

  3. Load Size: For optimal cleaning and to prevent excessive wrinkling, it's recommended to wash a reasonable number of sheets at a time. Overloading the machine can result in less effective cleaning.

  4. Water Temperature: Wash water temperature will cause very little variation in shrinkage or color up to temperatures of 160 degrees F.

  5. Detergent Selection: Select a mild, bleach-free, and fabric-friendly detergent. Too much detergent can lead to residue buildup, so use an appropriate amount according to the detergent's instructions.

  6. Washing Process: Set your washing machine to a gentle or delicate cycle. This ensures that the sheets are treated with care, reducing wear and tear over time. Also, use a slow or gentle spin cycle to minimize wrinkling.

  7. Avoid Fabric Softeners: Refrain from using fabric softeners or bleach as they can damage the fabric and decrease the sheets' longevity.

Drying Instructions:

1. Dryer Settings: After washing, promptly remove the sheets from the machine to prevent excessive wrinkling. You can tumble dry them on a low or delicate setting to preserve their quality. Avoid over-drying, as it may result in fabric damage and increased wrinkling.

2. Select the Right Temperature: Set your dryer to a low or medium heat setting to prevent overheating and potential damage to the blanket. High heat can cause shrinkage and affect the fabric's integrity.

3.Avoid Overloading: It's best to dry only a few blankets at a time to allow for proper airflow and even drying. Overloading the dryer can lead to uneven drying and longer drying times.

4.Use Dryer Balls or Tennis Balls: Toss a couple of dryer balls or clean tennis balls into the dryer with the blankets. This helps fluff the blankets and prevent them from clumping or becoming overly compacted.

5. Check and Shake: Periodically check the blankets during the drying cycle. Shake or fluff them to ensure even drying and to prevent wrinkles or creases from setting in.

6. Remove Promptly: As soon as the blankets are fully dry, promptly remove them from the dryer. Over-drying can lead to excessive wear and tear on the fabric.

7. Folding or Hanging: After removing the blankets from the dryer, fold them neatly or hang them on a drying rack to prevent wrinkles and ensure they remain in good condition until they're ready for use.

Regularly check all laundry machinery and housekeeping carts for sharp edges (burrs). All burrs should be filed smooth. Fabricator’s warranty does not cover snagging. Always test one item as instructed above. If results are unsatisfactory, discontinue laundering. Fabricator will only be responsible for the single test item.
