Even a good knife will lose some of its sharpness with time. A sharpening steel, or honing steel, are rods that have a roughly ground surface that enables repairing or straightening a fine edge knife. It is important to ensure the hardness of the material in the sharpening steel exceeds that of the knife, or you may damage both pieces. Available in a variety of lengths, steels are slightly magnetic so they'll pick up particles of metal removed from the knife during honing. Over time, the honing steel surface becomes smooth and needs to be replaced. A neglected knife that is too dull cannot be repaired through honing and must be re-sharpened. Length: 10"/260 mm.

Returns or Defective claims on items more than 30 days from purchase will not be accepted. No products can be returned without receiving an RMA # (Return Material Authorization) from customer care. Non-defective returns will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. All RMA freight costs are the responsibility of the customer. Any unauthorized return or collect shipments will be refused at our location. Linen Plus will pass through all Manufacturer warranties, where applicable, to the customer. Linen Plus will assist in coordinating the repair or replacement of the product by the manufacturer.
Please note: Non-Defective returns for a product that has been used and/or washed will not be accepted. If the product has been washed and/or used only defective product will be accepted. All table linen products are non-returnable as they are made to order.
